Germany's economics and energy ministry (BMWE) has opened a third round to fund renewable hydrogen and derivative projects outside the EEA and Switzerland, including ammonia, methanol, sustainable aviation fuels and green steel. It targets mid-sized firms such as technology suppliers and project developers entering new markets. Funding of up to EUR 30 million per project is planned for 2027 to 2030, with prioritised proposers invited to submit full applications.
